Diskette/CD confirmation

The warning "This diskette is not blank" appears when the diskette used to build a CT23 corporate efile diskette already contains data. You then have two options:

• Delete all files on this diskette

  Note that if the diskette is designated as read-only when you attempt to delete its contents, you will receive the error message "Disk drive not ready".

• Insert a different diskette after ensuring that it is empty and formatted.

  Make sure to label the diskette properly as outlined on the packing slip.

A similar warning will appear when CD filing if one attempts to save the files within a directory which already contains data. You will then be presented with two options:

• Delete all D-File files in this direcory
• Select another directory

Note: For taxation years ending in 2009 and onward the Ontario Ministry of Finance will no longer be supporting diskette/CD filing of the CT23 corporate return.
